Poh is a 5th generation Malaysian born Chinese. She spent the first 9 years of her childhood in Kuala Lumpur before the Yeow family migrated to Adelaide Australia where she still lives and works. Poh has a Bachelor of Visual Communications from the University of South Australia specialising in Illustration. She has been painting and exhibiting professionally since 2002. In 2009 Poh came second runner up in the first Season of Masterchef Australia, catapulting her into the world of food TV. She has made 3 seasons of 'Poh's Kitchen', 2 seasons of ‘Poh & Co’ & participated as a contestant in 3 Seasons of ‘Masterchef Australia'. She is a co-host of 'Adam & Poh's Malaysia in Australia’ & 'Poh's Great Australian Bite’ and a co-host of 2 seasons of Snackmasters Australia. Poh has authored 4 cookbooks - 'Poh's Kitchen - My Cooking Adventures’, ‘Same Same But Different’, ‘Poh Bakes 100 Greats' & 'What I Cook When Nobody’s Watching'. She has been owner operator of Jamface bakery at the Adelaide Farmers Market for 8 years.
